New Commenting Interface.

So, today I downloaded a new commenting interface here on the blog.

The name of it? Disqus – a nice name.

I am excited to see what it does with this community.
I’ve seen this comment plugin used on many of the blogs I follow, and I love the look and feel.

Lets see how this goes!

John Wylie is the man behind the cartoon - a guy who enjoys drumming, hanging out with friends, and traveling. John is currently attending the SevenTen Discipleship Program with Ryan Dalgliesh in Texas - he plans to use this education to preach & teach all over the country (and hopefully, the world). John also feels very awkward typing in third person.

I’ve been a fan for a long time. Not sure if you saw it on my blog or not, but i’ve been using it for quite some time. It really is nice because the notifications let you see when people reply/comment for the first time. You’ll love it.

I did see it on your blog a while back. And Jon Acuff as well as many others use it, too! Just thought it’d be a great addition to the page! :)

Yea, cool stuff. I love it!

I’ve seen this plugin, but never used it. What are some of the immediate perceived advantages?

Seems to be more streamlined. You can ‘like’ and ‘dislike’ posts. There is a community built around the commenting system itsself. You can ‘follow’ folks on the actual site to see what they’re commenting on, and join in on the discussion. Just seems like a really nice community based commenting platform.

I use it on my blog, and it’s been great!

      It is pretty dang incredible!

Count me as a fan. I switched from LiveFyre a while back and haven’t regretted it at all.

For sure, I’m already a huge fan! :)

I think you’ll really like it. I’ve gone back and forth a few times, but I keep coming back. I like the interface, the ability to reply via email and how it’s universal across the sites using it.

Yeah! I love those options. It is like a blogging social network – and you use what really counts in blogging as the updates/discussion: COMMENTS! Huzzah!
